We are pleased to offer dog friendly holidays at Basel Cottage in Llandovery, Carmarthenshire for our guests to enjoy.  Here at Little Hall, we have enjoyed many years with our beloved dogs.  So as you can imagine we are thrilled that we can now share our little piece of Welsh paradise with you!  Barney and Teddy aka ‘The Basel Boys’ are our own two gorgeous poodles and they will be very excited to meet you and welcome both you and your four-legged friends to Basel Cottage.

Dog Friendly Location:

Basel Cottage is located in the stunning Cambrian Mountains and on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park.  Set in 17 acres of its own land with walks straight from the door, Basel Cottage offers guests and their dogs a perfect rural retreat.  We have an enclosed garden and acres of fields for your dogs to enjoy.   There is also access to the River Bran and an enchanting private woodland to explore. Crychan Forest with trails suitable for walkers, cyclists and horse riders is situated close by.

Dog Friendly Cottage:

A fabulous inglenook fireplace with wood burning stove provides a wonderful cosy and homely ambience – A favourite with our four-legged friends after a long walk!

The wonderful view of the valley opposite from the window seat is a popular choice to relax and unwind.  Our dog guests enjoy it too because they can do a spot of bird-watching!  So if your dog wants the ‘best seat in the house’ let us know and we can provide you with extra throws.  We can also offer the use of feeding and water bowls if required.

Basel Cottage is surprisingly spacious and it will comfortably accommodate up to 4 guests.  Up to 2 dogs are welcomed free of charge.  Additional dogs may be accepted but this will be by prior arrangement only.  Additionally, we do politely ask that guests please refrain from allowing their dogs upstairs in the cottage.

Additional Services:

Dog Sitting can be provided* (by prior arrangement) giving our guests a chance to visit places which may not be dog friendly. *Small charges apply.
