‘A Wonderful Stay’  –  Basel Cottage has been the perfect place to meet up with our son and his girlfriend after not seeing each other through lockdown.  Sue, Jonah, Barney and Teddy have provided a most welcoming environment for us to catch-up on family time.  We have walked, golfed and played table tennis at Basel Cottage and managed to have breakfast on the decking – weather permitting!!  We have visited the Dams, the Coast, the Brecon Beacons – eaten out and at Basel Cottage and enjoyed both. Nothing has been too much trouble for Sue and Jonah and our dogs,  PJ and Ned have had a ‘Wale(s)’ of a time!!! .

Thank you Sue & Jonah for your welcome, hospitality and the gorgeous scones on arrival.  Home From Home with the most amazing house, scenery and also facilities.  We love it so much we are coming back for a week! We love it here – it is PERFECT!  Thank you so much xx

Thank you Sue and Jonah for your warm welcome on our 3rd visit to this beautiful and spotless cottage.  We had a lovely day at Dinefwr and a gorgeous walk from Llandovery to Llwynywermod Estate.  We really enjoyed your new Pitch and Putt!  Best wishes to you both for retirement later this year.  Thank you for the Cream Tea too!  Looking forward to our next visit xx

Sue and Jonah, you have made the Cottage and grounds such a beautiful and peaceful space, we felt no need to venture further afield.  Take care, stay safe and we will see you when the ‘Bluebells Bloom’ next year!

So much more than a Cottage Holiday!  The peaceful surroundings and warm friendly hospitality have made for a stress-free break.  We really do not want to leave but we will be sure to return!  Thank you Sue and Jonah, your hard work is really appreciated x.    

I have had a lovely first visit to Basel Cottage after hearing so much about it.  Cara and I have loved exploring the woods – Cara especially!!!  She is definitely going to miss the squirrels! – plus her favourite playmates Barney & Ted.  We will definitely be back and I most definitely would like a cabin in the woods!  Tanya & Cara.

Back for our fifth visit after a ‘rocky’ year – how great it has been to have a change of scene in this beautiful place.  Sue & Jonah (Barney & Ted) are always SO welcoming and it matters not what the weather is doing with the land here (And now the cabin!)  Shortish walks this time in favourite places until Alan’s hip is done.  Thank you so much, take care of yourselves.

Thank you Sue & Jonah for another wonderful week after our first visit in August last year.  The Cottage and your land are just wonderful and the Cream Tea on arrival very welcoming.  We have done plenty of walks in the local area and Llansteffan Beach and the Coastal Path is a real gem.  The food in Pengawse Tea Rooms was as good as we remembered and the pasties from the Bakery also recommended.  Thank you for making a holiday possible in these difficult times.  We will return again!

Thank you Sue and Jonah for making us welcome here at Basel Cottage.  We have enjoyed our second visit here just as much as our first last September. Basel Cottage is a great base to explore Carmarthenshire and both the cottage and your land are a pleasure to return to each evening.
