Back for our fifth visit after a ‘rocky’ year – how great it has been to have a change of scene in this beautiful place.  Sue & Jonah (Barney & Ted) are always SO welcoming and it matters not what the weather is doing with the land here (And now the cabin!)  Shortish walks this time in favourite places until Alan’s hip is done.  Thank you so much, take care of yourselves.

Thank you Sue & Jonah for another wonderful week after our first visit in August last year.  The Cottage and your land are just wonderful and the Cream Tea on arrival very welcoming.  We have done plenty of walks in the local area and Llansteffan Beach and the Coastal Path is a real gem.  The food in Pengawse Tea Rooms was as good as we remembered and the pasties from the Bakery also recommended.  Thank you for making a holiday possible in these difficult times.  We will return again!

Thank you Sue and Jonah for making us welcome here at Basel Cottage.  We have enjoyed our second visit here just as much as our first last September. Basel Cottage is a great base to explore Carmarthenshire and both the cottage and your land are a pleasure to return to each evening.

This was our 4th visit to Basel Cottage.  We love this place!!! The weather was very kind to us if a little too hot!!! Sue and Jonah are such wonderful hosts, nothing is too much trouble.  The cottage was spotless.  Things are so strange with this Covid business but Sue and Jonah did everything to make sure everything was done properly. Hopefully we will make it a fifth visit next year.  Thank you so much once again xxx  

We had a wonderful time!  Thank you so much for your warm welcome, your help when we had a flat tyre and all your efforts to make our stay a wonderful time.  Sven and Elin really enjoyed being invited to walk with you and the dogs and play with them. We will come back next year (something we never do – go back to the same place) because our stay felt way too short and we felt so at home in the cottage and felt so welcome here! We have had a lovely holiday at Basel Cottage.  The cottage was spotless which was very reassuring in these uncertain times – Thank You! Thank you for the warm welcome and delicious scones on arrival – lovely treat!  The dogs enjoyed roaming the garden and the woods. Our highlight was Pen Y Fan on a beautiful sunny morning.  All the best for the rest of the season.  Stay healthy and safe. Thank you Sue and Jonah!

From the moment Sue telephoned me at home before starting our holiday, I felt totally reassured by the current measures she had undertaken in the present climate to ensure that we had a relaxing holiday.  We received a very warm welcome from Sue and Jonah on arrival at Basel Cottage – they are excellent hosts. This holiday home is a credit to all their hard work.  Well appointed home with a fascinating history, set within glorious grounds.  Enjoyed the walks straight from the door especially the woods.  Wishing you both and your lovely dogs all the very best for the future.  

Sue and Jonah, thank you for creating a safe haven in these uncertain times.  After a few months of lockdown this has been the perfect location to re-charge our batteries.  Already planning our next visit xx
