This is our 4th stay at this wonderful cottage and grounds.  Since our last stay in 2019, Sue and Jonah have made lots of improvements and we saw an upturn in Llandovery itself!  We had a relaxing stay with great weather.  Everything was fantastic – we enjoyed darts and table tennis tournaments and evening BBQ’s.  Going back to reality feeling very relaxed!  Thank you Sue, Jonah, Barney and Teddy for another wonderful holiday! xxx

This is our 11th visit to this wonderful place!  The weather has been very kind and we have been sitting out most days.  We have had a few days out but we really enjoy being ‘home’ and going swimming and doing Aqua Fun in the local Leisure Centre – Jonah, is inspirational as a coach!!!  Reggie’s first visit this year and he LOVED IT! Thank you for a lovely BBQ and hopefully we will see you next year without the crutch!!!  xxx

Absolutely fantastic place to stay, stunning cottage and grounds, super-friendly owners, amazing views and great facilities.

Once again, we have enjoyed our stay – not quite sure if it’s 9th or 10th visit!  Love the slow pace of life here and enjoyed playing with the dogs.  Let us hope that next year we have Yolande with us when we come again and maybe a furry friend!  Take care, see you next year.  Love Penny and Clair xxx.

Our second visit with Sue and Jonah (& Teddy and Barney) at wonderful Basel Cottage.  Thank you for arranging the fabulous weather  – it was the icing on the cake!  So relaxing to sit outside enjoying the fabulous views and watching the birds.  We fully intend to return hopefully with my Mum xx.

This was our 1st visit and definately will not be our last!  Absolute perfection inside and out – we could not have asked for better.  Sue and Jonah very welcoming.  Meg, our elderly springer loved the freedom of meadow, woods and swimming hole.  We do not want to let too many people know about this little piece of paradise in case we cannot get booked in!!!!  Thank you again and see you next year x.

Dearest Sue, Jonah, Teddy and Barney, thank you for making us feel so welcome!  A real blessing to find this beautiful place.  The perfect musical retreat.  We were able to rest and rejunvenate between festival life as well as work on new songs, practice old ones and soak in the inspiration all around us.  Songwriting here has been a dream and we cannot wait to come back.  We will miss our morning coffee by the window, naming all the birds, slowing down and relaxing into life.  Thank you for sharing your slice of paradise with those who seek it.  Such beauty – an absolute dream week in Wales.

Thank you both for your patience and understanding with Jasper.  Us, the kids and the dog have had a fab time.  The cottage and its’ history are amazing.  The grounds are stunning and you have been amazing hosts.  Hopefully Jaspers training works and next time, he will be able to play with your boys.  Thanks for the lessons, maybe we will have our own air rifle next time?  Already looking forward to our next visit.

What a gem we have discovered!  First time here but it will not be our last!  We are grateful for all the comforts you have provided – who knew we would love golf!  Due to the outstanding weather we have not moved from the cottage, decking, fire pit and grounds.  We have been so comfortable in the gorgeous beds.  We will see you again.  Thank you for being such great hosts, Sue and Jonah – We LOVE Basel Cottage, Thank you, Diolch.

Sue, Jonah, Ted & Barney, we have eventually got to stay at your amazing cottage.  The cottage and setting is amazing with lots of interesting things to see and do.  The little touches when we got here made us feel at home straight away and your advice on warming the scones next day perfect! (Yummy).  Bonnie has absoluteley loved playing with Barney and Ted and has definitely made new friends.  She also loved showing off her tricks to you both.  Thanks for a super visit and we will hopefully see you again soon.  Thank you.
