Have lost count of how many times we have been to Basel Cottage – a ‘home from home’ as so many guests say!  We really enjoy being here in every way:  Scenery, walking, archaeology, history and wildlife.  Thank you Sue and Jonah for everything you do.  Thank you too to Barney and Ted, Flynn’s hunting mate, for putting up with Flynn!

Perfect week spent in beautiful surroundings with amazing hosts.  We all had a very relaxing and comfortable stay.  Thank you both very much and love to Teddy and Barney.  See you all soon. xxxx

Another fabulous visit.  Sue and Jonah are wonderful hosts.  Teddy and Barney are gorgeous, will miss you and the Showcaves are a MUST visit.

Basel Cottage has blown me away.  The cottage itself was equipped as a home from home, spotlessly clean with so many thoughtful touches from Sue and Jonah.  Everywhere you look / go,  you see the attention to detail – You have created something unique and fabulous.  Ziggy has LOVED stomping around the woodland and we love it too!  Thank you so much.  P.S. Teddy and Barney are also fab ambassadors.

This is our 3rd year staying at Basel Cottage and each year is more wonderful than the last.  Our welcome from Sue, Jonah, Teddy and Barney was like we had ‘come home’.  So many great recommendations for places to visit and eat.  Noal and Kevin thoroughly enjoyed their shooting lesson and opportunity to ride on the ATV.  Sully has enjoyed roaming the beautiful woods and fields and we will all miss the splendid scenery.  Thank you yet again for facilitating a wonderful break.  Love the Tideswells.

Dear Sue, Jonah, Barney and Teddy, we all have had such a lovely week here, it’s gone far too quickly!  Basel Cottage is a fantastic place to stay with beautiful surroundings.  Tanner enjoyed running around the field and exploring the woodland, us too!  I (Lucy) thoroughly enjoyed my Shooting Lesson and the peaceful stay xxx  Thank you for being so kind and welcoming x

Sue, Jonah, Barney and Teddy, our 2nd stay at Basel Cottage is over but we will definately be coming back.  The Cottage and the grounds are amazing and our dogs absolutely love it here.  We explored new places this time and had a really good time out with the dogs on walks too recommended by you both – Thank You.  Such a peaceful , beautiful place and you make us feel so welcomed.  Until next time, take care and thank you so much xxxx.

Yet again another wonderful week (our 9th).  The weather was kind and we spent time out and about .  We do not go very far as there is everything we could possibly need on our doorstep!  Logan really enjoyed the Basketball and Football Game.  Thank you also for including us in your 10th Anniversary Celebrations up at the Cabin, bubbles and all!  Already looking forward to 2024 – TWO WEEKS NEXT TIME!!!

Dear Sue, Jonah, Teddy and Barney, I once again, had a wonderful time at Basel Cottage.  I thoroughly enjoyed all the walks and playtime with the dogs as well as our lengthy conversations.  The Hay on Wye recommendation was absolutely spot on and was indeed a great experience. Love Sven.

Dear Sue, Jonah, Teddy and Barney, thank you for everything.  I really loved walking with the dogs with you and I also enjoyed the Glass Workshop with Sue and Mum and the Archery and Shooting.  I had a really nice holiday which I will not forget.  I hope I will see you again and I am really going to miss you both and the dogs.  Love Elin x
